An Analysis of Wu Lang’s Rhyme Theory in Wusheng Faniqie Zhengyun

系统考察分析《五声反切正韵》韵图安排和吴烺韵学观点,研究发现,吴烺不固守于传统韵学思想,而是注重改革,有诸如"变字母为纵音""以位定音取代以反切定音""变阳、入相配为阴、入相配"等改革措施,体现了其"一本天籁""创新"以及"删繁就简"的韵学理念。

This article systematically analyzes the arrangement of rhythm diagram and Wu Lang’s viewpoint of rhyme in Wusheng Fanqie Zhengyun.It finds that Wu Lang does not stick to the traditional rhythm theory,but pays attention to reform such as“changing letters to longitudinal sounds”,“replacing tuning by position with tuning by Fanqie”,“changing yang,matching into yin,matching into tunes and so on”.Through the analysis of these reform measures,Wu Lang’s philosophy of rhyme such as“sound of nature”,“innovation”and simplification can be reflected.
