Breeding and Feeding Management of Ao Han Sheep

澳洲白绵羊是澳大利亚第1个利用现代基因测定手段培育的粗毛型肉用绵羊新品种,成年公羊最大体重达175 kg、母羊125 kg,该羊具有初生体重大、生长发育快、屠宰率高、肉质美味等优点,得到世界各国养殖行业的广泛认可。我国为提高肉羊生产的整体水平和经济效益,2009年,首次从澳大利亚引进澳洲白绵羊,利用澳洲白绵羊公羊配我国小尾寒羊母羊,所产下来的后代,称为澳寒羊。该文主要论述澳寒羊养殖与饲养管理。

Australian white sheep is the first new breed of rough wool type meat sheep bred by modern genetic method in Australia.The maximum body weight of adult ram is 175 kg and ewe is 125 kg,the sheep has many advantages,such as high birth weight,fast growth and development,high slaughter rate,delicious meat quality.In order to improve the overall level and economic benefit of mutton sheep production in China,Australian white sheep were introduced from Australia for the first time in 2009.This paper mainly discusses the breeding and feeding management of Ao Han Sheep.
