On the Clubhouse of the Nationwide Anti-Japanese Association of Circle of Literature and Art in Chongqing

中华全国文艺界抗敌协会总会迁渝之后,初在公园路青年会104号办公,后租得临江门横街33号作为会所,因日机轰炸被毁,又租得张家花园65号为新会所。其"两翼",一为南温泉南泉新村24号附3号,有会员宿舍数间;二是北碚办事处,初在北碚汽车站旁边的"止庐",后迁蔡锷路24号林语堂住宅。文中的考证,既是对"文协"总会史迹的彰明,同时也是对其民族节概的阐扬。

After moving to Chongqing,the headquarters of the nationwide Anti-Japanese association of circle of literature and art was first located in the Chinese Young Men’s Christian Association of Chungking at No. 104,Park Road,then rented the No. 33 in Hengjie Street of Linjiang Gate as its clubhouse. Due to the destruction of Japanese bombing,it had to rent the No. 65 of Zhangjia’s Garden as its new clubhouse. It had " two wings",one was No.24-3,Nanquan New Village with some thatched cottages as its member quarters in South Hot Spring;the other was its branch agent in Beibei which was located in " Zhi Lu" next to Beibei bus station for a short time,then moved to Lin Yutang’s residence at No. 24,Cai E Road.The textual research is not only a clear demonstration of the history of its clubhouse,but also an exposition of its national spirit.
