抗战时期,桂林因其优越的地理位置、便利的交通和相对开明的政治文化氛围,先后云集了大批国际反法西斯组织和人士。他们在军事打击、抗战宣传、经济互助、医疗救济等方面开展了一系列活动,极大鼓舞了军民的抗战士气,坚定了持续抗战的必胜决心,对桂林和西南地区乃至整个中国的抗战事业都作出了历史性的贡献。

With its geographical advantage,transportation convenience and liberal ambiance of politics and culture,the city of Guilin in the anti-Japanese war gathered a galaxy of international anti-fascist organizations and individuals.In the war,they courageously conducted numbers of activities,including military attacks,political publicity,mutual economic aid and medical relief,which made great historic contributions to the War of Resistance Against Japan in China.
