Emerging Applications of Behavioral Economics in Education and Their Implications

作为新古典经济学的重要理论延伸,行为经济学突破传统的理性决策、完备信息、市场出清等核心假设并尝试通过行为视角解释人的决策逻辑,并逐步发展成具有完备理论体系与多样政策工具的新兴交叉学科。目前在国际上,行为经济学在教育领域的前沿实践中主要关注由时间因素、默认偏好、信息问题所致的教育行为问题,致力通过助力决策主体、优化决策环境等方式帮助学生与家长跨越行为障碍。为了更好地助力我国实现教育全面现代化,教育学界与政策界需积极对接前沿行为科学动态、优化教育政策顶层设计、探索多类型教育行为干预、提供创新实践制度化支持。

As a critical extension to neoclassical economics,behavior economics is interested in going beyond rational decision,complete information,and market clearing to better understand decision-making,and has emerged as an important interdisciplinary field with its unique theoretical lens and policy tools.In its applications in education,behavior economics is commonly used in mitigating behavioral barriers caused by timing,default,and information,using intervention tools that target students,parents,and their environment.In order to advance education research in China,it is crucial that future research and policies adopt a behavioral approach,optimize policy design,integrate behavioral intervention,and provide institutional support for innovative behavioral research.
