宁波储才学堂的创办及清末时期发展

On the Establishment and Development of Ningbo Chucai School in the Late Qing Dynasty(1897-1911)

宁波储才学堂是宁波中学的前身,成立于1897年。作为宁波最早的一所新式学堂,其由官商共建而成,以“革新图强,储备人才”为宗旨来培养近代人才。宁波储才学堂的创办及发展,与当时中国的社会政治面貌、经济状况、教育改革、商绅阶层等密切相关。尽管在其百年历史中多有更名易址之变,宁波储才学堂却始终坚持以创新进取的精神自立,不断推动宁波近代新式教育的发展。

At the end of Qing Dynasty,Ningbo Chucai School was established.As an earliest new-style school in Ningbo,it is jointly built by the government and business,aiming to cultivate modern talents with the tenet of“Innovation and Strength,Reserve more Talents”.The establishment and development of Ningbo Chucai School was closely related to the social and political features,economic situation,educational reform,business gentry class and so on.In spite of the change of name and building site in its hundred years of history,Ningbo Chucai School has always adhered to the spirit of innovation and enterprising,and constantly promoted the development of modern new-tyle education in Ningbo.
