Factors Influencing the Rural Elderly’s Epidemic Prevention Information Seeking in Public Health Emergencies

文章探究突发公共卫生事件中农村老年人防疫信息搜寻行为的影响因素,构建相关概念框架模型。采用深度访谈法收集25位农村老年人在突发公共卫生事件中进行防疫信息搜寻活动的相关数据,通过扎根理论归纳出影响农村老年人防疫信息搜寻行为的19个范畴并聚焦为5个主范畴,由此构建突发公共卫生事件中农村老年人防疫信息搜寻行为影响因素的理论模型,人口统计学特征、内外部感知是内部影响因素,信息源、信息内容与信息渠道是外部影响因素,据此提出旨在提升农村老年人防疫信息搜寻效能进而增进群体福祉的框架性构想与建议。

This paper explores the factors that influence rural elderly people’s epidemic prevention information seeking behavior in public health emergencies.It adopts in-depth interviews to collect relevant data concerning twenty-five rural elderly residents’information seeking behavior in public health emergencies,and uses grounded theory to study the influencing factors of their information seeking behavior,from which nineteen categories are coded and five main categories are focused.Thus,a theoretical framework of the factors influencing the rural elderly’s epidemic prevention information seeking behavior in public health emergencies is created.Demographics,internal and external perceptions are the internal factors,while information source,information content and information channel are the external factors.To this end,the author brings forward some preliminary ideas and suggestions as to how to improve the performance of rural elderly people’s epidemic prevention information seeking and enhance the welfare of the group.
