Objective To investigate the influence of maternal BMI before pregnancy and weight gain during pregnancy on macrosomia,so as to provide relevant basis for reducing the incidence of macrosomia. Methods 300 cases of macrosomia and 300 cases of normal weight neonates were selected to record the weight before pregnancy, the weight before delivery and the weight gain during pregnancy. The weight gain before pregnancy and weight gain during pregnancy were calculated, and the relationship between the weight change of pregnant women and the occurrence of macrosomia was analyzed. Results BMI before pregnancy and weight gain during pregnancy in the case group were significantly different from those in the control group(P<0.05).Pre-pregnancy BMI(OR=1.242,95%CI:1.156~1.336),excessive weight gain during pregnancy(OR=2.177,95%CI:1.334~3.552)were risk factors for the occurrence of macrosomia. Conclusion The occurrence of macrosomia is closely related to BMI before pregnancy and excessive weight gain during pregnancy.
