媒介素养导向下的英文报刊阅读教学探索

On Reading Teaching of English News Publications Oriented from Media Literacy Education

英文报刊是英语专业学生了解世界、增长国际知识、习得现代化语言和提高阅读能力的重要途径。在英文报刊阅读课程中加强媒介素养教育是顺应时代和国家对外语人才的战略需求。尝试将媒介素养培养落实到英文报刊阅读教学中,从在教学目标中明确媒介素养培养和课程思政目标,精选教材和时事热点,引入学“习”时代英文专栏文章作为优化的教学内容,教学中采用多模态教学、批判性语篇对比与分析、转化实践等方式,运用促进学习的形成性评价等方面进行探讨。培养媒介素养有助于学生在接触报刊媒介时正确选择、质疑评估、思辨分析并创造产出媒介信息,进而增强家国意识、坚定四个自信、发展中国文化对外传播能力。

English newspapers provide important opportunities for English majors to understand the world,increase international knowledge,acquire up-dated English,and enhance reading comprehensions.Embedding media literacy education in Reading Teaching of English News Publications is in line with the national strategical needs for foreign language talents in current times.This paper aims to explore reading teaching of English News Publications from the perspective of media literacy education,through discussion of setting clear goals of media literacy education in the course syllabus,optimizing teaching materials accordingly,adopting diversified teaching methods such as multimodal teaching,critical comparison and analysis of news reports,transformed practice,and employing assessment for learning to involve students to up-most extent in the process of learning and make learning happen.it is of help for students to develop abilities to choose,evaluate,question,critically analyze,and create media information,and hence develop further the ability of transporting Chinese culture abroad.
