Patients with hypoglycemia-type brittle diabetes suffered from severe daily fluctuations in blood glucose,frequent recurrence of hypoglycemia reactions,decline in quality of life,and increased difficulty in diabetes management.The first-line therapy,dynamic glucose monitoring combined with an insulin pump,was so expensive that patient compliance was inadequate.Based on the theory of State-Target Strategy,combined with long-term clinical practice and modern pharmacological researches,Professor TONG Xiaolin proposed Buzhong Yiqi Decoction as the core formula,and Rougui(Cinnamomum cassia),Shanyurou(Cornus officinalis),Huaishanyao(Chinese yam) as the effective target drugs for the treatment of hypoglycemia-type brittle diabetes,which could effectively reduce the frequency of hypoglycemic reactions,improve glycated hemoglobin level and the quality of life in patients.This article systematically introduced the application of State-Target Strategy in treatment and drugs selection for hypoglycemia-type brittle diabetes.
