通过多视角、复式叙事结构与多维度人物塑造等叙事手段,《无声告白》讲述了一个美国华裔混血家庭的创伤叙事,从更加复杂多元的层面,反思了美国民权运动后华裔生存状态,建构了二十世纪后半叶美国华裔个性化叙事伦理。展现了面对强势白人文化藩篱,具有双重文化身份的美国华裔,一方面主动认同自我族裔文化身份向美国华裔身份的转变,并为此付出艰辛地努力和巨大的代价,另一方面依然积极地追求美国语境下个人生存空间现实性和可能性。

Through multiple perspectives and narrative structures,multi-dimensional characterization and other narrative means,Everything I Never Told You tells the traumatic narrative of an AmericanChinese mixed-race family. From a more complex and diverse level,it reflects on the living conditions of American-Chinese after the Civil Rights Movement,and constructs their personalized narrative ethics in the second half of the twentieth century. In the face of the dominant white culture,while paying huge price and effort,the American-Chinese with the dual cultural identity,actively identify the fact that their self-ethnic cultural identification has transformed into the American-Chinese one. Meanwhile,they are positively pursuing the reality and possibility of personal living space in the American cultural context.
