Some nuclear power plants in China are carrying out the work of continuing demonstration of the nu⁃clear power plant operating licenses.A continuation demonstration begins with the identification of the sys⁃tems,structures and equipment to be included in the review,and these systems,structures and equipment need to be evaluated to ensure the safety of the plant.This article interprets and analyzes the requirements of the screening rules in the US regulations.It provides reference basis and support for the application for the exten⁃sion of the valid period of nuclear power plant operation license and related review work in China.
