Relations between personality type of medical students in China with their sensory learning styles

摘要 目的:分析中国医学生个性类型与感官学习风格的关系,探讨不同个性特征的医学生在学习中是否偏爱使用某种/几种感官及其偏爱程度。方法:应用迈尔斯·布里格斯个性类型指标(MBTI)和感官学习风格量表(VARK),测试中国11所医学院校17460名学生。结果:①外向-内向维度和判断-感知维度的感官风格的倾向重数均未见统计学差异,感觉-直觉和思考-情感维度倾向重数分布有统计学差异(χ~2=10.164,11.281,P<0.05),16种个性类型的医学生的感官风格的倾向重数有统计学差异(χ~2=68.300,P<0.05);②医学生4个维度的感官风格强度均未见统计学差异,不同个性类型的医学生的感官风格强度有统计学差异(χ~2=91.294,P<0.05);③医学生4个维度和16种个性类型的感官风格分布均有统计学差异(χ~2=54.218,99.185,44.668,55.835,275.523;P<0.05)。结论:中国医学生个性类型与感官学习风格有关,尤其是与其分布类型有关;个性类型相对个性维度来说,与感官学习风格关系更密切;学习风格的生理要素(感官偏爱)与心理要素(个性特征)可能相关。 Objective:To analyze the relations between personality type of medical students in China with their sensory learning styles and discuss whether the students with different personality types prefer to a/some sensory organ(s)in the course of learning and the corresponding degrees.Methods:Using Myers-Briggs Type Indicator(MBTI)and Visual,Aural,Read/Write,Kinesthetic questionnaire(VARK),we surveyed on 17460 students in 11 medical colleges in China.Results:①It showed no statistical significance of the quantities of sensory learning styles of the students in E-I and J-P dismensions,but significance in S-N and T-F dismensions(χ~2=10.164,11.281;P<0.05).It showed statistical significance in 16 personality types(χ~2=68.300,P<0.05).②It showed no statistical significance of the strengthens of sensory learning styles of the students in all the four dismensions,but significance in different persoality types(χ~2=91.294,P<0.05).③It showed statistical significance of the distribution types of sensory learning styles in both the four dismensions and in different personality types(χ~2=54.218,99.185,44.668,55.835,275.523;P<0.05).Conclusion:The personality types of medical students in China are connected with their sensory learning styles,especially with the distribution type.Compared with personality dismension,personality type has closer relationship with sensory learning styles.The physiological factors of learning styles(sensory preference)may have something with the psysiological factors(personality type).
