赵之谦致谭献佚札三通辑释

Research on the Three Letters from Zhao Zhiqian to Tan Xian

晚清杰出书画篆刻家赵之谦的书法作品一直受世人宝爱,流传于世的赵氏手札是研究其生平、思想、书法艺术最原始、最信实的图像资料。新见赵之谦致谭献手札三通,均未收入戴家妙整理编辑的《赵之谦集》,可知确为赵氏之佚札。参考赵之谦年谱、书画作品、友朋信札以及谭献《复堂日记》、诗文等文献,此三札之年代、主要内容皆可涣然冰释。经考证,此三通手札作于同治三年(1864年)至光绪六年(1880年)期间,时间跨度长达16年。札文内容涉及谭献通过赵之谦索求其挚友胡澍书法作品,赵之谦请求谭献为其弟子王彦威引见孙衣言、张景祁等晚清名流,以及赵、谭二人的书籍往还、《谪麟堂遗集》等书的刊刻,对于了解二人生平、交游以及晚清文化史有重要的文献价值。

Zhao Zhiqian’s letters are original and authentic materials for the study of this outstanding calligrapher, painter and seal engraver in the late Qing dynasty, whose calligraphy has always been highly admired. The recently discovered letters from Zhao Zhiqian to Tan Xian are not recorded in The collected works of Zhao Zhiqian edited by Dai Jiamiao. According to literature like Zhao’s chronicle, calligraphy and painting works, and personal letters as well as Tan Xian’s diary, poems and essays, it can be inferred that the three letters were written from 1864 to 1880 with a time span of 16 years. The content of these three letters includes Tan’s request for calligraphy works from Zhao’s friend named Hu Shu, Zhao’s request of introducing celebrities to his disciple Wang Yanwei, the exchanging of books, and publishing work, which is of significant literature value to the understanding of Zhao and Tan’s life stories as well as the cultural history of the late Qing dynasty.
