全球化背景下的涉“心”认知——形态演变和重要价值

Cognition Involving Heart under the Background of Globalization:The Form Evolution and Significance

“心”是中国文化的核心观念,“用心”是人们惯常的思维方式。由于对脑科学及相关知识的偏重,人们往往从日常用法的角度谈论“心”,缺乏自觉反思和评价。“用心”是以大脑右半球和边缘系统为主导的思维形态,具有知情意相贯通、真善美相结合、知行合一的特征,在整体性、直觉性、体验性的认知活动中有明显优势。全球化背景下的涉“心”认知有助于协调人类生存与科技进步、社会发展、环境保护的关系。然而这种功能在过度强调逻辑分析和量化评价的环境中会被不自觉地消解和屏蔽,“失心”会造成各种观念冲突和社会治理方面的问题。有必要倡导“用心的审视”“用心的设计”和“用心的评价”,发挥涉“心”认知在人类社会健康发展中的重要作用。

“Heart”is thought to be a basic concept in Chinese cultures,and Chinese people are used to thinking by“heart”.The preference for brain science and its knowledge makes people talk about“heart”normally from the perspective of people’s daily usage alone without self-consciousness of reflection and assessment.“By heart”that Chinese people express differs from“by brain”that people often use,serving as a thinking mode guiding with the right hemisphere and limbic system of brain.It is equipped with the characteristics of the fusion of knowledge,emotion and meaning,the combination of truth,goodness and beauty,as well as the unity of knowledge and action.Its merits can be viewed in integral,intuitive and experienced cognitive activities.Under the background of globalization,the cognitive activities involving heart will make contributions to the coordination of the relationship between human beings’survival and scientific advances,social development,environment protection.However,this function can be eliminated and shielded in an unconscious way due to over emphasis on logical analysis and quantitative evaluation,and“the loss of heart”is likely to cause the problems of various conceptual conflicts and social governing.Thus,it is necessary to advocate“the inspection by heart”,“the design by heart”and“the assessment by heart”in order to exert the role of the cognition involving heart in the healthy development of human society.
