From enlightenment education until he went to abroad to complete his doctorate,Chen Ning Yang had never interrupted his studies on Chinese traditional culture.He has studied and worked in the United States for more than 40 years.During these days,he deeply contacted,learned and comprehended Western culture.Based on comparison and discrimination,Chen Ning Yang assimilated the essence and removed dross of the Chinese and Western culture.He believes that his own shaping on cultural traits had a direct relationship with his success in career and life.To the project that how to inherit the traditional culture well and greatly exert its social role today,there is an important thing worth thinking,i.e.,in Chen Ning Yang’s mind,what content of Chinese traditional culture have a positive effect and what content have a negative effect.The great physicist Chen Ning Yang has set a successful example for how to effectively carry out traditional cultural education for the new century.
