It Is Necessary to Make Preparations for the Long Run

摘要 According to the World Economic Situation and Prospect report update launched by the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs,the global economy will shrink by 3.2%for the year 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic,leaving us to face the grim reality of a severe recession of a magnitude not seen since the Great Depression in 1930.The report also projected that the gross domestic product(GDP)in developed countries will plunge to-5.0%,while the output of developing countries will shrink by 0.7%.The report also said that the years 2020 and 2021 will see approximately USD 8.5 trillion in overall losses being racked up,wiping out nearly four years of output gains.
