文化变迁视角下高校英语教育的时代转向

Reorientation of University English Education in the Age from the Perspective of Cultural Change

中国高校英语教育始于近代中国,呈现出浓重的“殖民色彩”和目的语文化霸权,时至今日,演变成“中华文化失语”现象。究其原因,在于文化变迁根源。在中华民族伟大复兴的价值探照下,高校英语教育要凸显文化复兴的价值功能,必须要彰显文化自信、回归本土文化、构建中国英语,才能提高人才培养质量,促进中华文化国际传播。

University English education in China starting before 1919 shows strong influences of western colonization and the cultural hegemony of target language,which has evolved into the aphasia of Chinese culture nowadays.This can be attributed to cultural changes during the past over 100 years.In the context of pursuing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation,English education in universities has to demonstrate the cultural confidence,return to national culture,and construct English of Chinese style so as to improve the quality of talent cultivation and the international communication of Chinese culture.
