论文梳理了华侨华人在尼日利亚60余年来的移民轨迹和投资创业历程,重点分析了改革开放以来,大陆移民的出现及其影响。早在20世纪五六十年代,在非洲民族解放运动和工业化的浪潮之下,香港企业家毅然决定离港赴尼在当地投资设厂,成为建设尼日利亚的一支重要力量。在此后的60-80年代,他们通过自身不断壮大的工厂规模与质量过硬的商品,对其周边地区的经济、民生和文化产生了不小的影响。进入80年代,随着中国的改革开放,大量大陆移民携带中国商品进入尼日利亚,使得华人数量剧增并促进了尼日利亚的经济发展。新老中国移民都在经济上取得了不同程度的成功并积极尝试融入当地社会。经过60多年的不断发展,尼日利亚华侨华人已经成为当地一支重要的经济力量,在传播传承中华文化方面也发挥了积极作用。

This paper gives an overview of Chinese migration and ethnic Chinese enterprises in Nigeria across six decades,but puts more weight on the arrival and impact of Chinese mainland migrants since China’s economic reform and opening up.With the rise of national liberation movements and industrialization across Africa during the 1950 s and 1960 s,Hong Kong migrants first set up factories in Nigeria and played an important role in building the country.By the 1980 s they had profiled their businesses with good quality products and large-scale operation,which had a noted influence on Nigeria’s economy,culture and social life.Since China launched economic reforms and opened up in the 1980 s,massive quantities of made-in-China goods and a large number of immigrants from Chinese mainland have flocked into Nigeria.They have enlarged the Chinese community and contributed to the economic development of Nigeria greatly.Both old and new Chinese migrants have integrated into Nigerian society,although at different levels.With six decades of settlement,the Chinese migrants have become a significant economic power in Nigeria,and have made positive contributions to the communication of Chinese culture.
