Under the background of visual turn,the production and transformation of face are upgrading day by day.Behind the popularity of face changing,there is a profound political and economy motivation.In the political dimension,it is the struggle and anchoring of face;in the economic dimension;it is the realization and transaction of face,in the cultural dimension,it is the construction and maintenance of relations;and in the technical dimension,it is the presentation and transformation of face.Face changing brings far-reaching social consequences,leading to the enchantment and homogeneity of the face,the supervision and detention of the face,the alienation and differentiation of people,and the erosion and dictatorship of the face to intelligence.The future of face changing lies in the rational and positive use of face,matching face with wisdom,paying equal attention to watching and listening,breaking the shackles of power and returning to natural face.The visual landscape represented by face changing needs us to re-examine,and the understanding of face needs to turn to anthropology and ethnomethodology,inquire what face changing is for and practice visual activism.
