On Guan Shiming's poetics thought

清代毗陵管氏家族以其崇德向学的家风、硕果累累的文学成就著称于世。作为管氏家族的成员,管世铭深受家族风气的浸染。在此基础上,管世铭承袭传统儒家诗学传统,吸收和发展清代前期的诗学思想,逐步形成以唐代诗学为基础,兼容宋代诗学的诗学思想。

In the Qing Dynasty,the Guan family in Piling was famous for its virtuous family style and highly productive literary achievements.Influenced by the family ethos,Guan Shiming as a member of the Guan family inherited the traditional Confucian poetics tradition,absorbed and developed the poetics thought of the early Qing Dynasty,and gradually formed the poetics thought based on the poetics of the Tang Dynasty in compatibility with the poetics of the Song Dynasty.
