In order to solve the dilemma of rural decline,Japan has launched the development model of the 6 th sector industrialization.Umaji Village in Kochi Prefecture is one of the most successful cases that realize rural revitalization through the 6 th sector industrialization.Umaji Village has completely proceeded through 3 stages of exploration,formation and maturity in the path of rural revitalization.Promoted by the Agricultural Cooperative of Umaji Village,the village has set up the foundation of technological innovation and progress as well as the important direct selling measures for agricultural products.As a result,the primary,secondary and tertiary industries have continuously integrated,and the village finally achieved its own development form of the mixed 6 th industrialization.Umaji Village’s practice provides new format,new model and new path for rural revitalization.In addition,Umaji Village has important implications for Chinese rural revitalization in terms of national governance,creating employment opportunities for the elderly and women in the rural areas,encouraging the secondary and tertiary industries to feed back the primary industry,and promoting the establishment of online sales platforms.
