论陈夔龙与清末河南文教改革

CHEN Kuilong and Henan's Cultural and Educational Reform in the Late Qing Dynasty

1903―1906年,河南巡抚陈夔龙经理新政,大大推进了清末河南在军事、经济、政治、教育等方面的现代化转型。在文化教育方面,陈夔龙设立尊经学堂以保国粹,兴建新式学堂以促新风,推进河南留学教育发展,支持《河南官报》等近代河南报刊的创办,这些改革措施促进了清末河南新式教育的发展与风气开化。

From 1903 to 1906,CHEN Kuilong,the governor of Henan province managed new deals to promote Henan's modernization of military,economy,politics and education in the Late Qing dynasty.He set Zunjing School to preserve the tradition and new schools to promote the abroad education and encouraged the establishment of modern newspapers and periodicals such as Henan Officials,which made significant achievements in Henan's modern education.
