基于虚拟现实技术的南京明城墙数字复原研究

The Digital Restoration Research of Nanjing City Wall which Based on Virtual Reality Technology

随着虚拟现实(Virtual Reality)技术的逐步成熟,世界范围内出现了一些运用该技术对消失或局部损毁的遗迹进行数字复原和动态展示的案例。南京明城墙有600多年历史,具有极其丰富的文化和历史价值。但是,长期的自然风化和人为拆除使得部分极度珍贵的瓮城损毁甚至消失,且由于城市建设和文化认知等因素无法对其进行实体复原。本文探讨了运用虚拟现实技术对南京明城墙进行数字复原的意义,并选取南京明城墙中损毁较为严重的汉西门及完全消失的通济门这两个具体案例,运用虚拟现实技术对它们进行数字复原实践,探索遗址保护与开发的新方法。

With the Virtual Reality technology growing mature gradually,some cases of digital restoration and dynamic display of lost or partially damaged relics have emerged worldwide.The Nanjing City Wall has more than 600 years of history with great cultural and historical value.However,due to the long-term natural weathering and man-made demolishment,some parts of extremely precious porcelain wall were damaged or even disappeared,which could not be recovered physically due to urban construction,cultural cognition and other factors.This paper discusses the significance of applying Virtual Reality technology for digital restoration of The Nanjing City Wall,and selects two cases:the severely damaged Hanxi gate and the completely vanished Tongji gate for digital restoration practice,to explore new methods of site protection and development.
