Zhang Dainian’s Research on the Category of Chinese Philosophy

中国哲学范畴研究在张岱年的全部哲学活动中居于中心地位,张岱年认为,哲学是由基本概念范畴构成的系统,厘清概念与命题的解析法为研究哲学的根本方法。张岱年的范畴研究,形成了以《中国哲学大纲》和《中国古典哲学概念范畴要论》为代表的两个前后相因而又有所变化的时期。张岱年吸收西方哲学的解析方法,经由对中国哲学范畴的多角度诠解,构造出一个体系精密的范畴系统,实现了对传统"字义"学的继承与发展,形成了中国哲学研究的范畴解析派。

On the view of the comparison between Chinese and Western philosophy,Zhang Dainian made a new research on the category study of Chinese philosophy,forming the character of incorporating philosophical view,methodology and category analysis,and setting up a new mode for Chinese philosophical research.In the meanwhile,according to the development of Zhang Dainian’s ideas on category,we should understand its characters with stability and variability,times and regression.Zhang Dainian built up a precise category system by explaining,clarifying,praising,creating and integrating category,which was obviously the inheritance and development of traditional Ziyi studies.Zhang Dainian’s pupils did a good inheritance and development of his category research methods,which was of reference for creative transformation and innovative development of contemporary Chinese philosophy by rethinking of Zhang Dainian’s category ideas.
