《单向度的人》是马尔库塞最具有代表性的著作,由此而来的“单向度”已然成为当今学界的惯常用语。《单向度的人》立足当代工业社会,对发达资本主义社会的政治、思想、文化等方面进行批判,进而阐释“单向度”带来的现代危机。“单向度”的思维定向造成人类困境实则根源于技术理性对价值理性的湮没。技术理性一味张扬和放任人的占有欲望和控制能力,结果导致人与自然关系的日益恶化,从而将“理性”带来的福利颠覆。价值理性向技术理性的注入,将为化解“单向度”带来的危机提供新的思维范式。

“One-way man”is the most representative work of Marcuse,from which“one-way”has become a common language in today’s academic world.Based on the contemporary industrial society,one-way man criticizes the politics,ideology,culture and other aspects of the developed capitalist society and then explains the modern crisis brought by“one-way”.The thinking orientation of“one-way”causes the human predicament,which is actually rooted in the annihilation of technology rationality to value rationality.Technical rationality blindly publicize and indulge people’s possessive desire and control ability,resulting in the deterioration of the relationship between human and nature,thus subverting the welfare brought by“rationality”.The injection of value rationality into technology rationality will provide a new thinking paradigm for resolving the crisis brought by“one-way”.
