新冠肺炎疫情下大学生群体“口罩头像”现象的自我赋权

The Study of College Students’“Masked Avatar”from the Perspective of Self-Empowerment during the Epidemic of COVID-19

大学生群体作为“相对无权者”,尤其适合作为“赋权”理论的分析对象,来探究他们在互联网时代中为什么无权、如何利用新媒体进行赋权、又将产生何种影响。通过对新冠肺炎疫情中“口罩头像”这一亚文化事件的研究,认为媒介化社会大背景下拟态环境与代际冲突的存在使得大学生弱权,而他们通过口罩头像的制作与传播进行符号斗争得以自我赋权。反思这种网络行为可以看出,这更多是一场网络狂欢。从“口罩头像”中解析出的自我赋权意义,为我们充分认识大学生群体网络亚文化、突发公共事件参与、抗击新冠肺炎疫情等具有重要启示。

As a“relatively powerless”group,especially suitable for an analysis object of“empowerment”theory,college students are used to explore why they are not entitled in the internet era,how to use new media for empowerment,and what impact they will have.Based on the research of the sub-cultural event of“Mask Avatar”in the COVID-19 epidemic,it is generally believed that the existence of pseudo-environment and generation conflict in the context of mediating society weakens the power of college students,but they are empowered by symbolic struggle through the production and transmission of mask avatar.Reflecting in this kind of online behavior,we can see that it is more of a network carnival.The meaning of self-empowerment explained in the“Mask Avatar”is of great significance for us to fully understand the network subculture of college students,participating in public emergencies and fighting against COVID-19.
