To begin with,this study combed through the Ancient Books and Collections Culture of Traditional Chinese Medicine edited by Jin Zhijun.This book is composed of two parts.The first part consists of the basic knowledge of ancient books of traditional Chinese medicine,including the introductions of the basic medium of early TCM books,editions of ancient TCM books and the common sense of the taboos on naming ancient TCM books.This chapter was designed to help readers choose the books they need with specific purposes among the sea of TCM books,and guides them to enter the field of TCM after the readers grasp the basic knowledge of ancient TCM books.The second part is the introduction of personal TCM book collections owned by the officials of the Ming and Qing dynasties,and major large-scale series of TCM books against the background of history and culture,aiming at broadening the readers’horizons.This book,focusing on the feature of general education,pursues a linguistic style that appeals to both the refined and popular tastes and a writing characteristic that contains knowledge,humanity,and stories in one book with the aim of presenting the characteristics of the disciplines offered by TCM colleges and universities.The Ancient Books and Collections Culture of Traditional Chinese Medicine opens the window for readers to know about the ancient TCM books and allows them to make better use of the precious resources provided by the ancient TCM books.
