Objective:To investigate the clinical effect and safety of the expandable vertebroplasty(Sky)in osteoporotic vertebral fractures. Methods:The medical records of 83 cases of osteoporotic vertebral fractures admitted to our hospital from February 2017 to November 2018 were collected for retrospective analysis.Among them,43 cases have been treated with conventional percutaneous vertebroplasty(PVP).In the control group,40 patients who have been treated with the expandable vertebroplasty are the observation group. The recovery of pain and the recovery of the Cobb angle of the responsible vertebral body are observed before and after treatment in the two groups, and the clinical effects and safety of the two surgical methods are evaluated. Results:After treatment, the pain NRS scores of the two groups were significantly lower than those before treatment(8.1±1.1)and(8.2±0.9).The postoperative pain scores of the observation group(1.4±0.4)were significantly lower than those of the control group(2.1±0.8),P<0.05,the postoperative Cobb angle(13.6±3.1)of the observation group was lower than that of the control group(16.6±3.2),P<0.05.Conclusion:Compared with the conventional percutaneous vertebroplasty(PVP)in the treatment of osteoporotic vertebral fractures, the expandable vertebroplasty device can reduce the pain symptoms, correct the Cobb angle of the vertebral body, and reduce the vertebral body injury.
