摘要
本研究运用历时个案研究方法,通过考察翻译教师自我反思对教学信念和教学实践的影响,探讨翻译教师发展问题。我们通过跟踪调查一名高校翻译教师一年的教学,发现她的自我反思直接对其教学信念的树立和转变产生了积极影响,同时也使她的教学实践方式更加多样化。研究表明,自我反思对翻译教师发展有着积极作用,翻译教师应该结合自身所处的教学环境对自己的教学进行反思。鉴于当前翻译教师队伍的不断壮大以及其在翻译教学中的重要地位,本研究认为翻译教师研究应该获得更多关注。
Taking a longitudinal case study approach,this study investigated the impact of a translator trainer’s self-reflection as part of her professional development on her teaching beliefs and practices.By following a translator trainer in a Chinese university over one year,the study found that her self-reflection had a direct positive influence on the establishment and the change of her teaching beliefs,and enriched her methods of teaching practices.Thus,this study suggests that the translator trainer’s self-reflection has positive influences on her professional development.These findings also point to a significant implication that translator trainers should reflect themselves on their own teaching practices in relation to their teaching contexts.Given the large numbers of translator trainers at universities,more attention needs to be paid to translator trainers,who are agents for change in the very process of translator training.
