摘要
认知参照点是人类的一项基本认知能力,基于认知参照点的英语猜词悟义,旨在揭示该语言现象背后的认知机制。本文在语篇构建的认知辖域内,归纳了11种充当参照点的认知方式:定义、同义词、反义词、举例释义、重述、比较关系、对比关系、因果关系、情境性细节、上下义词、图式知识。通过认知分析,证明了认知参照点在英语猜词悟义方面同样具有较强的解释力。
Cognitive reference point is a basic cognitive ability of human beings.Based on the cognitive reference point,guessing and comprehending the meaning of English words aims to reveal the cognitive mechanism behind the linguistic phenomenon.In the cognitive dominion of discourse construction,this paper sums up 11 kinds of cognitive methods which serve as reference points as follow:definition,synonym,antonym,illustration,restatement,comparison,comparison,causality,situational details,hyponym and schematic knowledge.Through the cognitive analysis,it is proved that the cognitive reference point also has a strong explanatory power in English word guessing.
