翻译专业硕士文献综述类论文路径新索

A New Approach to the Theses(With Literature Review)of Masters Majored in Translation and Interpretation

翻译专业硕士(Master of Translation and Interpreting,简称“MTI”)走过首个十年的办学历程并取得了不菲的成绩,但在教学评价过程中仍存在不少亟待完善之处。基于近年来硕士学位论文撰写的指导经验,笔者认为“文献综述类”论文具有客观存在的必要性以及促进MTI长期发展的基础性和创新性价值。以某外国语大学高级翻译学院2015-2017三年间毕业生论文选题作为研究对象,分解出“文献综述类”这一亚范畴论文类型,即仅针对某翻译课题已有的研究进行搜集、整理、归类、综合、总结、得出不足,并把拓展未来的探索方向作为主要论文模式。在倡导该论文类型的基础上,制定了可供参照的评分量表,并结合权威的《劳特利奇翻译研究百科全书》中的章节目录加以说明,以期为今后MTI论文选题提供更多的参照。

After the first ten years of school running of masters majored in translation and interpretation(hereinafter referred to as“MTI”),great achievements have been made.However,there are still many aspects to be improved in the process of teaching evaluation.Based on the experience of guiding the writing of master’s degree thesis in recent years,the authors propose that literature review thesis has the objective necessity,and has the basic and innovative value to promote the long-term development of MTI.This paper takes the topic selection of masters’theses from the School of Translation and Interpreting of an International Studies University from 2015 to 2017 as the research object,and decomposes it into another subcategory of“literature review”.That is,the main thesis mode is to collect,sort out,classify,synthesize,summarize,conclude the existing research on a certain translation topic,and expand the future exploration direction.On the basis of advocating this type of thesis,this paper formulates a rating scale which can be referenced by instructors,and explains it with the chapter catalogue in the authoritative Routledge Encyclopedia of Translation Studies,so as to provide more schemes for the topic selection of postgraduates’theses in the future.
