Objective To explore the regulation mechanism and clinical effect of deep acupuncture on bilateral tianshu points on cerebral and intestinal axis of poststroke constipation. Methods 90 patients with poststroke constipation were randomly divided into bilateral tianshu acupoint group, zhigou group and western medicine group, with 30 cases in each group. Before and after treatment, the symptom score scale, stool trait score(BSFS),constipation clinical score scale(CCS)were used, and the serum SP and VIP contents were determined by ELISA.Results The clinical efficacy, symptom and character score and CCS score of the tianshu group were better than those of the zhigou group and the western medicine group, and the serum SP content of the patients was higher than those of the other two groups, while the VIP content was lower than those of the other two groups, which was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Acupuncturing on both sides of tianshu acupoints deeply is effective in the treatment of poststroke constipation and can effectively improve the clinical symptoms.By increasing the content of SP in serum and decreasing the content of VIP,shenqitianshu may regulate the brain and intestinal axis and improve the symptoms of constipation.
