Deconstructionism’s concern with the textual information echoed the information theory proposed by Claude Shannon.In light of N.Katherine Hayles’"information perspective",there emerges the correlation between Shannon’s theorization of"noise"and Bathes’and Serres’theorization of the"textual noise".This information perspective departs from the traditional criticism based on"science’s influence on literature"and attempts to understand the phenomenon from the view of"one culture",in which both Shannon’s information theory and deconstructionism responded to the cultural debate over"order and chaos".It will also reveal the elements of humanity embedded in information theory and deconstructionism’s reflection on and development of information theory in the domain of social science.
