Excerption and Explaination of HUANG Pi-lie’s Fifty-Six Poems Which was Never Seen in the World

清乾嘉时期藏书家以黄丕烈为一大宗,其藏书处名曰"百宋一廛",以庋藏宋版书闻名于世,其诗人、学人之身份也应当引起学界重视。黄丕烈晚年参与苏州地区影响较大的问梅诗社,并在参与社集的三年内创作了五十余首诗歌,其中以古体与律诗为多。黄氏身后诗作大多散佚,今存《问梅诗社诗钞》中的五十余首作品,可以补考其生前最后几年的交游、收藏活动,对其学术思想研究也有极为重要的价值。

HUANG Pi-lie(黄丕烈)was one of the most famous bibliophiles in Qianlong(乾隆)and Jiaqing(嘉庆)periods of the Qing Dynasty.He named his private libraries"Bai Song Yi Chan"(百宋一廛)which was famed the world over for its collection of ancient books in Song Dynasty edition.Huang participated in the influential Wenmei poetry club in Suzhou in his later years.He wrote more than fifty poems within three years of participating in the poetry society.In this period,his poems were mainly composed of Gu Ti poetry and lüShi that shows a kind of exquisite and gorgeous style of scholar poetry.Reference to Huang’s poetry creation in his later years,people can supplement his travel and collection activities in the last few years before his death.It is also of great significance to the study of Huang’s academic thoughts.
