摘要
以汉译琶杰说唱本为蓝本的《英雄格斯尔可汗》是国内唯一翻译成英文的蒙古族英雄史诗《格斯尔》。本文在刘宓庆的文化翻译理论中文化审美表现论的基础上,结合该蒙古族英雄史诗的文学特征——宇宙结构的概念表现,分析了模仿和代偿的文化审美翻译表现式如何在时空、方位和数量等方面表现文化审美意义,从而为继续英译蒙古族史诗《格斯尔》完成一定的基础工作。
Heroic Geser Khan based on the Chinese version of scripts of singing by Pajie is only Mongolian heroic epic Geser translated into English domestically.The paper follows the theory of Cultural Aesthetic Representation within the perspective of the Cultural Translation proposed by Liu Miqing.Implementation of two strategies of imitation and compensation is analysed on how the concepts of space and time,direction and number are represented culturally and aesthetically in the target text that constitute the view of universe in the epic as type of literature.Therefore,some foundation work can be laid for the English translation of the epic in the future.
