Study on the Chi You Flag

蚩尤旗的含义有三种:一是指黄帝的部队所持的绘有蚩尤形象的旗帜;二是指从蚩尤坟墓中升腾而起的赤色气体;三是指一种预兆兵乱将兴的星象。汉高祖在兴兵前祭祀的不是蚩尤旗,而是兵神蚩尤。星象学里,在日晕占、暴兵气占、虹霓占和星占里都可以看到蚩尤旗的形象。蚩尤旗的形状类似彗星,且后曲,像一面旗帜,或赤气半天,有柄如旗,或只是一片红云,且其颜色上黄、下白。蚩尤旗常出现在井宿、角宿与亢宿的位置。其形体越大,则灾害到来的时间越近,程度也越严重;其形体越小,则灾害到来的时间越远,程度也越轻微。蚩尤旗是统治阶级愚弄人民的工具。

There are three original meanings of Chi You flag:the flag of Huang Di's army,which was painted with the image of Chi You;the red gas that rose from the tomb of Chi You;and astrology,which refers to a bodement of chaos or war.Han Gaozu sacrificed not the Chi You flag,but the God of War-Chi You,before contributing troops.In astrology,the image of the Chi You flag could be seen in the Halo Divination,the Cloud divination,the Rainbow Neon divination and the Star divination.The shape of the Chi You flag was like a comet,with its tail bending like a flag,or red gas filled half the sky,with a handle such as a flag,or just a red cloud,with yellow color on the top,white color at the bottom.Chi You flag often appears in the location of Jing Su,Jiao Su and Kang Su.The larger its size,the closer and more serious the disaster will be.The smaller the size,the farther and milder the disaster will be.Chi You flag was a tool for the ruling class to fool the people.
