Because of their perspective of cognitive reason without noticing the deeper dimension of needs,it has been difficult for Western scholars to resolve the questions whether and how virtual things like golden mountains or unicorns exist and what significance they have. The key reason is that, under the intervention of their non-cognitive needs, people often present those virtual value ideas which have no corresponding objective existence and yet really exist in their subjective psychology, and develop their own life course under the guidance of these ideas,so that in a sense, human being may be seen firstly as the animal with value ideas.
