历史学中的“国际关系”研究

历史学与国际关系学既是两个不同的学科,又有着十分密切的联系。历史学中的“国际关系”研究与国际关系学科的“国际关系”研究既有重叠之处,又有着不同的特点。历史学中的“国际关系”研究不仅关注当代国际关系的发展变化,而且还致力于把当代国际关系的来源阐释清楚,对于摆脱国际关系研究中“欧洲中心主义”的束缚具有重要意义。历史学界对部落和族群问题的探讨,对帝国与民族国家关系的阐释,对东方和西方流变及相互关系的说明,对中国历史与世界历史的再认识,为国际关系学构建更为开放、包容和全球意义上的知识体系提供了更为宽广的知识背景。随着国际关系纷繁复杂的发展变化,国际关系研究面对着越来越多超越传统意义上国际关系学的问题,正在向一个学科群的方向发展。历史学中的“国际关系”研究,或者说国际关系研究的“历史路径”,可以在构建中国特色的国际关系理论的尝试中发挥重要作用。

History and International Relations(IR)are two separate disciplines with close connection.The IR studies in History and IR studies as a discipline have overlapping areas as well as distinct characteristics.The IR studies in History not only focuses on the changing of contemporary international relations,but also concentrates on its origins,which is of great significance for unbinding“Eurocentrism”from IR.The explorations of tribes and ethnic groups,the relationship between empire and nation-sate,the evolution,changes and relations between the West and the East,and the rethinking of Chinese history and world history,all have provided a much wider knowledge background for a more open,inclusive and global knowledge system.Facing the rapid changes of the world,the IR is increasingly dealing with issues beyond conventional IR territories,and is moving towards the direction of forming a disciplinary cluster.The IR studies in History,or the“historical approach”to IR studies could play a much more important role in promoting IR studies with Chinese characteristics.
