The quality of thinking is one of the necessary qualities for students to learn English,and it is also an important way to improve the teaching efficiency of English reading.This paper analyzes the significance of improving the thinking ability in English reading teaching,discusses the teaching strategies of English reading based on the improvement of thinking ability,and points out that teachers should use titles to improve students'thinking ability,guide students to compare from selected angles,and promote the coordinated development of students'English reading ability and thinking ability.
