Practice and innovation ability training is the key to innovative talent training.By summarizing and reflecting on the beneficial exploration and practice of practice and innovation ability training of graduate students majoring in geological engineering,this paper puts forward some problems that need to be solved to cultivate practice and innovation ability,such as the setting of training programs and curriculum system,the construction of supervisors'team,the creation of academic atmosphere,the reform of teaching methods,the establishment of practice platforms,and the construction of appraisal and evaluation system.It is of reference value to promote the development of practice and innovation ability of graduate students majoring in geological engineering.
