Discipline and specialty are the basic elements of university organization.Through the analysis of the basic connotation of discipline and specialty,this paper expounds the close relationship between discipline construction and specialty construction,and clearly puts forward the strategies of integrated layout of discipline direction and specialty setting,integrated allocation of discipline resources and professional resources,and integration construction of discipline system and professional system,explores a necessity to improve the level of running a university,and highlights the characteristics of disciplines and specialties.
