[Purpose/Significance]After the"9·11"incident,American strategic counterintelligence became the first move to destroy foreign intelligence entities and maintain American security.It is of practical significance to explore the evolutionary logic of the American counterintelligence strategy and analyze the adjustment of the Trump administration's national counterintelligence strategy for constructing the counterintelligence mechanism with Chinese characteristics.[Method/Process]Since the"9·11"incident,the US government has publicly released 6 reports on national counterintelligence strategy.In February 2020,the Trump administration issued the latest"National Counterintelligence Strategy 2020-2022".Through historical stages and text analysis,the current focus,the latest trends and the impact on China-US relations of the Trump administration's national counterintelligence strategy is vividly revealed.[Result/Conclusion]China should respond quickly and effectively according to the changes,attach great importance to the challenges triggered by the Trump administration's adjustment on national counterintelligence strategy,and draw on the development experience of the American counterintelligence strategy,including improving the multi-level counterintelligence defense network,developing the counterintelligence linkage mechanism in the whole field,and deepening the partnership of counterintelligence collaboration.
