The Literary Function Evolution of the Judgment Articles in the Tang Dynasty

判文体在唐代成体时期就呈现了实用与文学并存的态势。唐人在制作案判之时,也对判体做了多种文学功能的开拓,而且充分认识到了判对展现人物性格的作用,自觉将该文体与其他文学文体交融。这些都直接影响了后代判体与文学的融合。

In its embryonic period in the Tang Dynasty,the style of judgment article had showed the coexistence of practicality and literariness.When writing the articles about cases and judgments,officials in the Tang Dynasty developed their literary function as well,and fully realized the role of the judgment text in displaying the character’s personality,and consciously blended the writing style with other literary ones.All these had a direct impact on the fusion of later generations'judgment article style and literature.
