Fur Fashion in the Context of Sustainable Development

数十年来,时尚业与动物保护主义者们在皮草时尚问题上一直进行着旷日持久的斗争。近年来,日益明显的生态恶化以及社会压力迫使得越来越多的人们在面对动物福利困境和反思时尚的同时,加上了可持续发展的重要议题。本文在梳理双方的主要主张与诉求以及实践方案后,提出在可持续发展的需求与语境下,承认不同社会经济发展阶段对动物保护与利用的多样性,平衡各方的权利与义务,并强调科学研究与评估认证在建构新典范时的重要作用,从而驱动更有责任意识的行业行为,才是时尚行业可持续发展的核心模式。

For decades,fashion industry and animal protectionists have been fighting for a long time on fur fashion.In recent years,the increasingly obvious ecological deterioration and social pressure have forced more and more people to face the plight of animal welfare and rethink profoundly on fashion.So,the important topic of sustainable development have been put forward.After analyzing the main claims and demands of both sides and their practical plans,the paper suggested that under the needs and context of sustainable development.The diversity of animal protection and utilization in different stages of social and economic development with balancing the rights and obligations of all parties should be recognized.The important role of scientific research and evaluation certification in building a new model and driving more responsible behaviors also should be emphasized,which is the core mode of sustainable development of fashion industry.
