An Overview of Urban Culture and the Development of Streets in Shanghai

本文以近代上海为例,分析了都市文化的形成和街道发展的联系:文化上的中西融合和街道空间里中西风格的衔接是一个互相影响、互相促进的过程。而当今上海都市文化的重建也需要重新审视街道历史遗产的价值,探索符合上海都市文化的、融合历史遗产和时代精神的街道发展的方法。

Taking modern Shanghai as an example,this paper analyzes the relationship between the formation of urban culture and the development of streets:the integration of Chinese and Western culture and the convergence of street styles are under the mutual influence and mutual promotion.Nowadays,the reconstruction of Shanghai urban culture also needs to re-evaluate the historical heritage of the streets,and explore the methods of street development that are in line with Shanghai urban culture and cater to both the past and the present.
