China’s economy grew by3.2 percent in the secondquarterof2020.Following the contraction of6.8 percent in the first quarter,growth in the second quarter surpassed expectations.China h a ss h ow ng row t hs t ro nger than expected due to the Chinese Government’s efforts to increase domestic spending,such as opening provincial borders for Chinese travelers.China had a domestic tourist market of5.73 trillion yuan($824 billion)in 2019,representing almost 6percent of economic output for the country.
