A Brief Probe to Xun Zi’sResponsibility Ethics

中国儒家的道德学说与韦伯的责任伦理并不相排斥,在先秦儒家中,荀子的思想贯彻了对人的道德品质和行为责任的期许,他从经验的立场出发,强调对个体的知识能力和道德修养的培养,并借助外在的“师法”作为道德的标杆,帮助主体树立心中的道德律和责任感,这在很大程度上同韦伯的责任伦理相契合。

Chinese Confucian moral theory and Max Weber’s responsibility ethics is not mutually exclusive,in the Confucianism of the pre-Qin dynasty,XunZi’s thought carried out the expectation of people’s moral quality and behavior responsibility.He argued from an empirical standpoint,emphasizing the cultivation ofindividual knowledge ability and moral accomplishment,in addition,he used the external"ShiFa"as a moral benchmark to help the subject establish the moral law and the sense of responsibility,all of which agree with Max Weber’s responsibility ethics to a large extent.
