Historical Review,Experience and Enlightenment of China’s Response to Major Epidemics Since the Founding of the People’s Republic of China

新中国成立以来,针对突发的鼠疫、血吸虫病、非典等几次重大疫情,党和政府采取了积极有效的应对措施,获得诸多经验:中国共产党是抗击疫情的领导核心、人民解放军是坚强后盾、科技创新提供技术支撑。从当前防控新型冠状病毒肺炎疫情的斗争中,在以往经验的基础上又得到新的启示:正确引导舆论,坚持信息公开透明;加强国际合作,建立人类卫生健康共同体;增强忧患意识,完善公共卫生安全体制机制;建设生态文明,筑牢生物安全防线。

Since the founding of the people’s Republic of China,the party and the government have taken effective measures to deal with several major epidemics,such as plague,schistosomiasis and SARS.They have gained a lot of experience:the Communist Party of China is the core of leadership in the fight against the epidemic situation,the people’s Liberation Army is a strong backing,and technological innovation provides technical support.In the struggle against novel coronavirus pneumonia,we have gained new enlightenment on the basis of summing up past experience:guiding correct public opinion,persisting in information transparency and transparency,strengthening international cooperation,establishing a community of health and health fate,enhancing awareness of hardship,improving public health safety system and mechanism,building ecological civilization and building a bio safety defense line.
