Based on an operational accident of the instantaneous water inflow upon shutting down a gas-fired boiler that was running at a low level of water,this paper provides the findings and objective evaluations based on a series of inspections and examinations that carried out the macroscopic examination,geometry size measurement,nondestructive testing,physical and chemical testing and water pressure test on the damages to the body of the boiler and the causes,as well as regular inspection requirements are put forward for flue gas pipe,the safe operation of the boiler operation Suggestions is given.
